Are You Running on E...?

One of my favorite Christian bloggers is Pete Wilson. Pete is the Senior Pastor at CrossPoint Church In Nashville. I had the pleasure of meeting Pete at Connections in Nashville two years ago.

Today Pete posted a super thought on running on E...spiritually.

Enjoy.

News and Notes 11/4/2009

Hey, everyone.

Just tagging up.

Hopefully all of you who have been battling sickness are doing better.

If you have a pocket calendar, BlackBerry, iPhone or the like, I suggest bringing them to class Sunday. There are a lot of activities on the calendar for November. Not just for the class, but also in other areas of the church that we are all involved in like Choir, Refuge, Awanas, etc.

For example, this week, for the choir members in the class, there is a long form rehearsal this Friday (6 November) from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Let's also plan to talk a few minutes about another date to meet for lunch after church. And we will also start working on the gameplan for a class Christmas Party.

Also continue to pray for those for whom we have been praying for. Please remember Dana's grandfather, Mr. Bodley specifically this week. He should be returning home from the hospital in the next day or so. So continue to pray for his general health.

Kanye is a Joke...

My decision to link this post has a lot less to do with Kanye West than it has to do with you and me.

For Several months now, I have been following Carlos Whittaker's blog called "Ragamuffin Soul" (Thanks, David, for pointing me to his blog).  Carlos is a worship leader at the Buckhead Church in Atlanta. He is a little outside of the box for most Spiritual thinkers, but he often has Spiritual observations that just strike me in a profound way.

Today he weighed in on the Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift drama with an observation about true forgiveness. In it, he also makes himself vulnerable.

I'll let Carlos finish making the point...

Remember that we are planning to eat as a class after church at Ryan's on the Beltline. I look forward to seeing you there.
